Biography
Gina White is a beekeeper and self-taught encaustic artist living in St. Petersburg, Florida with her husband, two children, Hazel the dog, and a multitude of bees at Dickens Bee Farm.
Gina has a passion for building community through the arts. She is active with Florida Wax, a chapter of International Encaustic Artists and regularly exhibits her work and teaches about the encaustic painting process. She has also participated in collaborative shows such as the Exquisite Corpse Games and 100 Women Artists in Art History. Gina is committed to strengthening the local Tampa Bay art community - she was the co-founder and past director of the St. Pete First Art Collective and is currently the co-chair and curator at St. Thomas Art Project, a not-for-profit gallery and art center that supports local artists and brings their work to new audiences. Gina also serves as a juror for numerous community-based art organizations.
